Texting/Calling The Morning After? The Proper Protocol

Okay, we've all done this before in our lives. If not, shame on you. You know, the "infamous" morning after text/call. Usually after some type of sexual relations have went down the night before, but what does this mean? Some of us may get confused and by us I mean, GUYS, because we are the ones who are usually left with the decision to text or call the next day.

From the get go, let me say that the next time you contact your partner/jumpoff/person you just had sex with, it SHOULD NOT be a text. I know we live in the textual world at the moment and some of us LIVE off texting but please don't send a text as your NEXT REACH OUT. It's LOW. Very low I must say. A phone call goes a long way in this day and age, especially since the guy she just left was probably an habitual texter also.
Is it needed? Of course it is and don't give the excuse that you just didn't know when to send it, or it slipped your mind because you were busy doing other things. Nah, not buying it. You weren't busy when she texted you back last night and told you to come over, so don't be "busy" the day after.

But what does it mean and when is the perfect time to hit her up the next day? I mean, I don't want to feel like a pyshco or tooo pressed. Don't worry I got ya!

The very first PHONE CALL you should make should be when you make it home. Call them to let you know that you made it, because I'm pretty sure when you left your spot, you told her, "ahhite, I'll letchu know when I make it home." Or she told you, "Let me know when you make it babe." If neither one of you said that, then you BOTH know what type of agreement you all have and that is not what this is about. Check back later for the "JUMPOFF HANDBOOK." This phone call is NOT however, count as your morning after phone call/text. This is just to show that you are a man of your word and also again verbalize about the GREAT TIME you just had earlier.

After that is over with and you get some much needed sleep, wake up and go about your day as usual. No text or phone calls should be send out before 10:00 am. Any contact before this and the woman is probably thinking, "Damn, already. Can I at least get situated at my desk before this nigga starts blowing me up?" Yeah, you have to chill for a few hours even if it's not what you want to do. Trust me.

Now there's a HUGE difference between the first TEXT and the first CALL. Women do not want to be texted before hearing your voice the day after. If this is wrong, then let me say, they SHOULDN'T want to get a text but hey, what do I know, I'm just a kid from Mississippi. However, around 11:45 - 12:00pm, you may begin to cross her mind. IF YOU WERE "Mind-Cross-Worthy" the night before and she may began to think, "Was I just a jumpoff, he hasn't contacted me yet." THIS, is where you should make your move. I'm sure on the phone call you placed last night, you asked where what she was doing tomorrow and she probably said "WORK" as being one of those things. Around the time mentioned above, you call her. Now this is where you can find out more about her as well. IF SHE ANSWERS, while at work, then you know she REALLY LIKES YOU OR WHAT YOU DID TO HER LAST NIGHT, especially if she's WHISPERING because this means she's not even suppose to be on the phone at the moment but she's doing it JUST FOR YOU. Now if she does not answer, no biggie. Just leave a voice mall telling her what you were gonna say in the first place. You know something like, "Hey, I guess you're hard at work over there and judging my last night, I KNOW how you put in work, so I'm not even gonna trip." You know, something like that will suffice. Keep it simple and let you know you enjoyed it and hopefully you all will get to do other things later.
Contacting her between the hours of 3-5pm are a little risky. A lot of time has went by and she may have already written you off as one of those who just get sex then bounce type niggas. You don't want to be in that bracket. It's hard to get back in. Any time after 5pm you might as well count getting that p-pack again as a LOSS. Unless she's just one of the types who likes to fuck and in that case, she doesn't really need a Morning After Call/Text from the get go!

I hope this manual has provided some insight on how you should carry yourself the morning after. Remember this, you only get one Morning After, all the other ones are just on some "Ordinary Next Day" shit. Really though.

Remember that Rocky theme song, Eye of the Tiger, the one that got you so amped? Made you think you were invisible? Yeah that one. It use to be my favorite pick me upper/motivator but now, it has been replaced with a few tracks from 'The Social Network' Soundtrack.

If you follow me on twitter, you know I watch this movie faithfully, almost two to three times a week. It's more than just a movie. It's a blueprint. It's a documentary of a BILLIONAIRE. Yes, I know the way he went about starting Facebook was dirty as can be but still, this is the world we live in.

This guy created Facebook. In his dorm room. Valued at 800 Million Dollars and climbing. If this isn't a success story, I don't know what is.

After watching a few times, the music form the movie kept replaying in my head. It became hard to get rid of, so I went looking for the Soundtrack and came across Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross, the two behind all the music from the movie. Amazing if you ask me. Also cheap too. When the betting lines for the Super Bowl were released after last weeks AFC/NFC Championship games, I couldn't believe what I was seeing. The Packers were FAVORED to win by 3 1/2. This really threw me for a loop, I couldn't figure it out. The Steelers have won 6 Super Bowl titles in their history. It was Rotheisburger against Aaron Rodgers. Then it hit me, SO WHAT!! This is the best betting opportunity ever as a Ravens fan!! Let me explain.

Stemming back to 2008, when I first joined twitter, her work ethic has only gotten stronger as I've watched and studied her drive over the last few years.

Anyone in this area (DC/Maryland/Virginia), and many others, can vouch for her in every aspect of what it takes to be a strong, business driven, independent young lady. Never taking a day off, Candi embodies what we all wish to achieve in our daily life. As one of her followers on multiple social sites, I see her battle the ups and downs of this industry we are in but always bouncing back stronger and better than ever.

This new social web world we living in is slowly killing one of the most vital parts of the human species as we know it. That is the feeling to care. Throughout the day, whether through email, facebook, twitter, or however you interact with people you've never met, there's thousands of jokes, quotes, riddles, even deaths, that we read about, hold our attention for a moment, and then as fast as it came, it slowly goes away. That's the world we now live in. Every thing is so fast paced. It's not about what's happening now, it's about what will happen next. How will this person respond? What will we do after this happens?

Twitter has been one of the mose highly successful social sites ever. I agree I was one who became addicted to posting tweets and reading about the lives of others. I often see on twitter, whether it's breaking news or from whoever, that someone has died. It happens. Someone posts it. Someone retweets it. Everyone shares their respect and a week later, it's forgotten.
Earlier tonight, I went onto Facebook to see my cousin had wrote, "RIP uncle Warren." Uncle Warren was that uncle whom everyone loved. He taught everyone in the family how to swim. Over the past few years he'd been diagnosed with cancer. I read the post on the wall, saw a few people "liked" the comment. What's even worse is that in the comment section, another cousin of mine had wrote that our OTHER cousin, Mark, had died the same day as well!! That's two deaths I've read about in 5 minutes.

Before leaving out to work, I commented on his post. As I was walking down the steps to my truck, I sent out a tweet saying basically, I'm out, be back later, family issues whatever. This still had not hit me yet. I started to think why is that? He was one of my closest uncles. His son and I were best friends growing up, spent every summer together. Why am I not bawling my eyes out on the way to work?? I got a little teary-eyed but that was it!

I think it's just the way we've become. Unless it's immediate family, I don't get that same feeling anymore. Of course when I go to the funeral, I'll be in all tears seeing my cousin and aunt lower him into the ground but what about after. How could I just move on from this so quickly?
With that being said, I'm leaving twtter for a good minute. I've realized that you have to live every second, every minute, as it's your last and at this moment I don't think sending out tweets are doing anything for my life at all.

From this point on, I want to appreciate the loved ones I have left. I talk to people on twitter that I haven't even met more than I send my brother a "hello" text. It's gotten ridiculous. I also know I have real friends on twitter as well. Some of them have even done things that some of my family members probably wouldn't have done but I'm sure they will understand.

I just need to get back to what's important and at this moment, what's most important can't be made to fit in 140 characters.

Um, yall do know Brett Favre is coming back next year right?

After ~~being hit with a hefty fine~~ calmly being asked to hand over $50,000, stemming from the findings from Roger Goddell and his investigative reporters for the whole Jenn Sterger debacle, this year has pretty much been Favre's WORST YEAR EVER. A lot of people believed him when he told time that this would be his last year. I did as well.

That was until his season was full of disasters, over and over. Syndey Rice not being healthy, the injuries, the voice-mails and dick pics being sent, and even the collapse of the roof at the stadium. This was FAR from what we thought he would deliver. Being one play away from the Super Bowl last year, we thought the Vikes would be a team to be reckoned with. That was wrong. If you think Brett Favre will not come back and redeem his legacy, even at 42, you'll see. Just wait.

Just mark my words, next summer we will be discussing if he is returning or not. That along with the Lakers 3rd title in a row. #LakeSHOW baby.

Maybe this is what happens when someone feels guilty about the way some things have played out. Not only played out but the way that I LET things take a turn for the worst. What I've found out is that, what I thought was for the BEST then, turned out to be far from it. Now what? How much longer does this need to go on? What's the solution? Maybe I need to take advice on this one because i took no ones advice the last time around. I'm a Leo though, we don't ask advice, we always know what's right, right? We're always in control, right? Over the past few years, there has been a few reasons and excused that us guys give women AND vice versa that just scream out, "I'm really cheating on you." For one, remember the "I'm working late," excuse? Yeah, that pretty much got found out but some guys still try to use it and some EVEN think they are getting away with it. Trust me, if you use that excuse and your girl/guy goes along with it, THEY KNOW you are cheating and are just waiting for a good time to leave your ass.

Another one that was popular was, "Oh, he/she's just a friend," now this one had a good one, only because we really wanted to believe you, because we loved you, because we wanted things to work, but after some time, 'just a friend' became "just someone I'm fucking, but I don't care about them at all." Yeah, those are two of the most popular "I'm really cheating on you" excuses.

Now, in this new age of technology, with the social sites of the innanets, I've found through doing many studies and putting in hours of work, that there is a new phrase to tell when your guy/girl is cheating. A few will say I'm breaking the "manlaw" or hating on women trying to get theirs but I feel like I owe this to all the broken hearts of 2010, men and women. Over the weekend, I was in the middle of a little "relationship squabble" between two love birds when the female fired off questions about another young tender who was at my table, the guy responded with, "Oh, we just talk on twitter."

Hmmmm. It hit me. This is it. This is the new "I'm really cheating on you" excuse. Sorry I didn't warn yall earlier but I was just giving you all a little time to receive Christmas gifts, to see if you got what you wanted or not.

Yeah. I bet you can already imagine. Well, nah, you probably can't. I'm sure you're wondering how did this happen? What really happened? Why and where were you at when everything took place? Don't worry, I got all your answers below, and trust me when I say, I'm still a virgin when it comes to ladies of the night.

Last night/this morning, you may have seen the tweet above pop up in your timeline and wonder, what the hell has Freddie gotten himself into now?! Well let me try to explain.
On a lunch break from work, approximately around 3:34am, I took a quick run to the local 7-11 for some wings and a Kiwi Strawberry Twister. When I pulled up, I noticed this female walking inside the store, dressed like she had returned from the club, but I spotted no vehicle in the parking lot, and she was also solo. When I went into the store, she was posted by the coffee maker. Out of no where I hear, "Hey pretty eyes." I glanced and said "whaddup."
After getting my drink and wings, I head out, she follows. She asks me where I'm going. I responded, "shiid, heading back to work, why what's up," because I thought she was about to ask for a ride and I wasn't about to take her ANYWHERE. She then says, "Oh, I was trying to have a little fun." Now since I didn't spot a Wii controller or a deck of playing cards in her hand, I kinda figured she was talking about exchanging a few sexual favors for a few dollas.
I laughed it off and calmly said, "Naah, I'm straight." That didn't stop her, so instead of still trying to have some "fun", she went from a lady of the night, to a beggar, asking me for $20.00!! "Yooo, I don't even know you," was my response.
I was starting to get pissed because my wings were getting cold, I was a little chilly as well from having the window cracked a little bit just talking to her. She went from 20 to 10 to $5. I told her I had $1.00 and some change in my console and she said, "Ok, gimme that." As I go into the console, her wandering eyes spot my Courvoisier bottle, with only a half of swig left, she excitedly screams, "Ooooh can I have that?" At the point, I'm about ready to pull "tha fcuk" off. Thinking I had no reason for keeping that open container in my truck, I decided to give that to her in hopes that she would leave. After giving her the bottle, she asks, "Are you gonna still give me that dolla and some change?" WTF!? "Hell naaaah!!"

Over the last few weeks I've been thinking very hard about leaving Blackberry due to Sprints inability to secure a touchscreen 4g Blackberry. After doing a little searching around, I saw that a few were in the making but not sure if they would come to Sprint. I really just wanted to upgrade so I could use FACE-to-FACE and also the Angry Bird app which is really addictive. This, The Blackberry Playbook may be the one thing that keeps me put.

It's completely compatible with your phone. Meaning, you can sync EVERYTHING. You can read emails, view pictures, and even USE BBM!! Wow, BBM on a TABLET! It also has a camera on the front and back unlike the iPad, also a flash and slots for memory cards, ALSO unlike the iPad.

If you've been on twitter over the last year, it's no way you've gone a week without seeing a link to some of the hottest celebrity and entertainment gossip news to ever hit the blog sites. That site would be Kira's Koncept. When I first saw this site pop up in my timeline, I kind of figured that it was just one of these other blogs that copied every other blog on the internet, meaning, if I checked it, it probably would have anything new. Was I wrong. Upon checking out the site, I saw that it had more to offer its readers other than the regular Rihanna pics and cheating wives. This site had substance. It had a meaning. It had the truth and ALSO a fair opinion. When I saw found out that she was from Mississippi, my home state, I had to get to know more about her. So after a few messages exchanged here and there, we finally set some time aside to discuss things she was working on and what were her plans for the future.

Freddie Mac: Soo what's your name and where are you from?

FM: Ok, I've seen the blog, which is pretty nice. Is there anything else you're working on and also what makes your site different than other "gossip sites?"

AD: Thanks! And yes, I recently,started a non profit organization called Why Not Wait? That promotes sexual abstinence & self love for girls ages 10-16. Kira's Koncept is a celebrity gossip site that covers a range of topics! Kira's Koncept is different because I acknowledge local people who are also trying to make a stamp on the world. I provide my PERSONAL opinion,with a little humor, not just report information. That makes Kira's Koncept stand out!
My Youtube channel is also up & I'm looking to publish my 1st video this week.

FM: Ook, niice. Being in this "entertainment" industry, do you think some look at you different because you're a woman? Or is it more of a plus?

AD: Honestly, I never gave it much thought from a gender stand point. I don't think it really matters but then again people can be a little more receiving when a woman is involved.

It seems like EVERY MORNING we wake up to more and more news about Auburn's Heisman hopeful quarterback, Cam Newton. Last Friday a man admitted that he sought payment on behalf on Cam Newton and his father from Mississippi State. This past Monday, it was reported that he was caught cheating on test while attending Florida University.

Although he and his father have denied these allegations, more findings are being brought to the table. I really feel like it's only a matter of time before all the information comes out. If anything was offered or negotiated, they need to bring it out now instead of waiting until five years from now like Reggie Bush. I guess it's all about the Heisman. I believe the reports. Sad as it may be, I think money had to be involved. Where there's smoke, there's a fire.

There were some women who said all the right things and then, there were some who were completely losing me with the things they were asking for. Maybe the hashtag should have been #whatwomenneed, but for one, I saw a few saying that they want to be taken care of. I found this kind of hard to believe due to the amount of women who scream that they are INDEPENDENT. A few women were saying they wanted someone who could just slang the pipe and pay a bill every now and then. What the FCUK?! Maybe I'm just following the wrong people, what do you think?

Ok, so by someway possible, you've made it to the second date. A few questions float in your head on how things should go, what you should do, things you should talk about, where will you take her, what does she expect out of this one? All common concerns, but chill. To me, a second date is ALL POSITIVE from what I've seen. For one, she likes you, hence the reason she's out with you on a second date, and even if she doesn't like you from what you've shown her on the first one, you still have one more chance to show her why there should be more dates in the future.

A lot of people disagree with me and my labeling of this date as, the "spend out" date. I say that to say this, the first day for me is more so of a meeting, a walk and talk type of environment. A quick lunch, stop and drop small gifts off type of date. Nothing major. After a few more phone calls, text messages, retweets and dms, the 2nd date is where you show her what you are about and what she can get use to. I label this one as the "spend out" date because this is usually where the dinner, movies, live music, etc takes place.

ING Direct did a survey on how much money women expect guys to spend on a FIRST date. Most women said somewhere around $85 was a reasonable amount. I guess that really depends on where you are living as well. However; the second date has always been known to me as I stated above.
I asked a few of my friends on twitter questions about the #2ndDate and I really enjoyed some of the answers they provided.

I ran into Young Scolla a few weeks ago at Modi's "Kobe" event. During a cypher, there's always one guy who stands out. From the crowds reactions with the regular "oohs" and "ahhs" I could tell this guy had flow.

The next day I scrolled on over to www.youngscolla.com and got familiar with some of his latest work and I was impressed. His freestyle over J.Cole's Blow Up was SICK.

The list is below but there's ONE missing, which was the one I loved the most. The "SEARCH" (S) shortcut key is no longer the same. S now takes you to the Share screen. I know we can Menu > Search and so on, but it's not the same. I'm lazy, hence the reason for this post. So if anyone comes across the shortcut for Search, please pass that along.

I've been trying to figure out this fascination for a while now. You know, the one that guys have about having sex with women in only heels. I mean, I have that fascination as well but I couldn't even begin to tell you where it came from. I've also learned that some women have this fantasy as well. Hopefully after this post, you and I will have a better understanding of how this cam about and why there are so many who try to cross this challenge off their sex list.

We all know sex is a wonderful thing, well the ones who have had their share of course. Not speaking for myself, but I've heard from friends that it is a pretty nice activity to partake in. Over the past few years, through college, work force, lounge hopping, and gallivanting with the in crowd from time to time, the topic of sex comes up. From there, it goes into what do you like? How do you like it? What are some of your fantasies? Some of the answers remain the same, some vary. Often someone brings up the question, "have you ever told a female to keep her heels on?"

I can remember growing up, a young buck in the backwoods of Mississippi, and this question had NEVER crossed my mind. Heels are no heels, who cared, and why? During college and after, I started noticing women who mostly wore heels, seemed more powerful, more confident, more dominant. I believe around this time is where those thoughts started to mature. That, and every R&B singer telling chicks to "leave your heels on" was probably the determining factor.

"Yeah, I want you to leave those heels on tonight. I'm coming over." Sounds sexy right? I mean, at least you giggled a lil bit (females only of course). Ok, let me retract a previous statement from earlier. I have had this take place. I say that because if I were a virgin, you wouldn't believe the things I am about to describe.

Seeing a woman enter the room in only heels says two things; she's about her business and she's ready to handle business. That's just my observation. One word. SEXY. That's all I can say. SEXY. Nothing turns you on more than the sexiness of a woman, and that adds major points in my book.

So, did I answer my own question? I might have to scroll back up and read it again. On another note, how do you feel about this? Is it a turn-on? Is it non-sense?

Signs that She's Not Interested In You

Yes fellas, it is fall and cuddle season is fastly approaching. You did a lot of running around this spring and had yourself a very good summer. Pool party here, rooftop event there, lounging through the weekday, etc.. Now you're thinking of bunnin someone up for the winter. Nothing better right? I agree. There are just a few things you need to know, and a few signs you need to look out for before you go chasing a female over these next few months.

Believe it or not, some women, even some of the ones you were checking out over the summer, has found their cuddle buddy for the winter. Tough luck. That's on you playa. So you out there now, "finagling with the hoes" as my homeboy use to call it. Let me give you a few signs that will show you that shorty's not interested in you.

1. If during a conversation, she tells you "This is not the right time."
Ladies know WHAT THEY WANT and WHEN THEY WANT IT. They are not like guys, do we EVER say "this is not the right time?" No. If a female tells you this, keep it moving. Even if she's being truthful, who are you to wait, I told you above, the winter is APPROACHING!

2. When asking for her number, she says, "I'll call you."
Now this could also be true. It has happened a number of times. Although its a 86% chance that she will not give you a call, EVER. The next time a female tells you that, you reply with, "Call me now, so I can save your number." Rude? Maybe, but so what, she wasn't going to call you anyway. Keep it moving.

3. If you poke a female on Facebook and she doesn't poke back.
Yeah, you know what I'm talking about. The "poke" on Facebook has been known to mean anythings. Who really knows what it means but it's always inviting to receive a poke back from a female, don't ask me why.

4. After meeting her, if she doesn't answer your call OR return/respond to your text message within 24 hours.
This should be a cleat message but some guys don't get it. They continue to call, write, email, tweet, etc. Believe me, if she wanted to talk to you, she would. Keep it moving, remember what I said, the WINTER IS APPROACHING.

There are a few others that I could name but those are the major ones. Keep an eye out for these signals the rest of the fall and you should be good to go. Ladies are slick and sneaky and also readers of this blog, so don't let them switch it up on you pahtna!

MY Top 10 Video Games of All Time

With the release of NBA 2K11 this week, I figured I would post a list of my top 10 video games of all time, due to the buzz that this will be one of the best created sports basketball games ever. Scan over my list and post a few of your own.

10. Blades of Steel - Whoever thought kids in my neighborhood would be lined up to play a hockey game? When they're fighting involved, it makes it much better. This is prolly one of the only hockey games I've ever played more than twice.

9.Street Fighter 2 - This game set the score between who had skills or not. I was undefeated with Ryu.

8.NBA Live 2000 - First one for Playstation 2 I think. Graphics were amazing.

7.Halo 3 - Remember staying up 47 1/2 hours straight the night this dropped.

6.WCW vs NWO: World Tour -Wow, what do you know about this? Getting four people together and going at it in the ring with Sting, The Hulk, The Giant, Rey Mysterio and more.

5.Golden Eye 64 - Best multiplayer game EVER.

4.Zelda - Getting lost in the trees are we?

3.Metal Gear Solid 2 - My good ol tennis teammate Jeff put me on to this while we were in college. Couldn't believe I'd never heard of this before. After that, i even went back, bought, and finished the original Metal Gear Solid.

2.Grand Theft Auto 3 - Stealing lowriders JUST to hit the switches.

1. Contra - Wooooow what can I say? This has to be MY BEST GAME EVER. The action was crazy and so was the multiplayer. I remember fighting over who would get which gun. The (L)aser was cool but everyone wanted the (S)pread. Hahaha! Even the code will never be forgotton.

Real Housewives of Atlanta: Season Three, Ep. 1 [Recap]

Wow, where do I begin? Real Housewives is probably the only housewives show I pay attention to outside of OC, the original one. It's mostly because of the drama, not to catch up on fashion or the "in-crowd" of Atlanta, trust me.

The season returned Monday on Bravo, I missed the episode due to flipping back and forth between The Event, House, Monday Night Football, and a slew of other slows that were way more important. I noticed people on twitter talking about the show and I could tell it was a disaster, but in a good way.
Let me start by saying, Sheree, who was my favorite from last year, HAS TO BE GOING THROUGH some type of break down or mid-life crisis. She starts with saying she has put her fashion line on hold to become an actress. I guess this means she got her divorce settlement and now has to time to just do what she wants, ok cool.

Nene. Poor Nene. Still after attention. I remember Nene from the first season, so plain, still cute and adorable. Guess this is what happens when you make someone a reality star. I couldn't get pass how much she looked like Kaleena from Diddy's group Dirty Money.
Kim Zolciak is still reaching for the spotlight as well with this lesbian fiasco. She mentions that Big Papa is STILL getting divorced, I guess she is still "sick" and losing hair as well since she's still rocking these ridiculous wigs. Who knows?

Kandi, Kandi, Kandi... I'm gonna let you make it till episode two. You good for now. Plus I'm a Ravens fan so as long as you keep McGahee happy, we straight.

They also have two new ladies on the show this year. The one they introduced on this episode was Phaedra Parks. *Cues Kayne West You Cant Tell Me Nothing* Phaedra is the shit, let her tell it. Cool with me, do you.

Also the kid, Dwight is back and he gets into an altercation with Nene over rumors that were started with her husband borrowing money. This situation was handle very poorly while they attending a "highly exclusive" chic shoe release event in which Sheree noted that all the shoes were outdated.

By the looks of it, this will be an interesting season, I hope. It's Atlanta at it's finest, perhaps. Unlike Bad Girls Club, which I have boycotted, I may continue watching the Housewives, mainly because I know what to expect.

A couple days ago I was invited to visit The Dazzle Cartel’s studio, located in the heart of Northwest DC. I went in not knowing that I would be blown away by the lovely ladies who were there. CoKo and Cici, as they’re known to many others in the area, discussed numerous things such as projects their working on, events their hosting, future plans for TDC, and of course, what would a studio be without the conversation of MEN!? Yes, they shed some light on guys in the area as well. Unfortunately, THAT PART will not be heard in the video below, but don’t worry; I’ll try to explain later.

TDC are way more than just a hair studio. They specialize in fashion as a whole. After entering and expecting only to see a few hair accessories, I was surprised by the extent and deepness of their catalog. From shoes, to frames, to diamonds, very articulate I may add. I could tell by this look these girls were serious. Very goal driven.

As Cici entered the room, she began talking about how earlier, she had a conversation with herself about "how she has been slacking and really needs to get on her shit," this shocked me to hear that. For one, because of the buzz they have already received, I thought they were already going harder than Baltimore. I could tell that they wanted more, and even when they got more, it still was not going to be good enough.

CoKo had a client who I spoke with shortly about what TDC provided. She assured me that “CoKo really knows what she’s doing,” and also “some of the stylists I go to can not even do the things she does, and they have their own salons.” That says a lot with the numerous amounts of hair dressers in the DMV (DC, Maryland, and Virginia) area.
They told me earlier they were from Detroit; I wanted to know the difference in the aspect of fashion because that always seems to be a topic around DC. They explained that Detroit is “flashier, more competitive.” CoKo evens stated, “Niggas wear Prada to the grocery stores!”

They also told me besides hair, they design accessories and are in the middle of starting a non-profit, in which they will make wigs for cancer patients. They’re also doing a lot of charity events. They plan on hosting a prom for a school in DC, consisting of styling, make-up, getting dresses etc. Also they are looking for help as well. Any make-up artist, stylist, seamstress, and designers who would like to help should contact them (contact information below).
Another huge upcoming event included going to Africa. Cici explained it as, “a great opportunity to give back to our community. It’s really important for us to do it. We have been so blessed so we feel like it’s only right that we bless other people as well.”

After this visit I could tell that they were all about their business. I could see the hunger for more within them and in this industry, it’s very much needed. With the events and projects mentioned, I look for TDC to have a HUGE year and I’m happy I got a chance to visit and talk to them before they went all Hollywood, even though that probably wouldn’t happen to them, but I’m not sure about LiLi.
